ASU museum to celebrate Day of the Dead
Tomorrow the ASU museum will celebrate Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead. Día de los Muertos is a three-day Mexican holiday to honor and celebrate loved ones who have died. This celebration will take place Friday, Nov. 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will be held in the museum's main gallery, which is on the second floor of the Dean B.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences, housed in Wilson Hall, started in June 2003. Its predecessor was the College of Arts and Sciences, which split in 2002 into the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the College of Sciences and Mathematics.

UPD patrolman awarded city's officer of the year
An ASU Patrolman was recently pronounced to be the 2007 city's top law enforcement officer of the year. UPD Patrolman Raymond Mansker was presented the award, sponsored by the Jonesboro Exchange Club, during a gathering of local police officers in October.
