He travelled half way across the country to inform faculty, staff, and students on how technology and the Internet are changing the traditional media in our times Thursday evening in the Student Union Auditorium. Mark Glaser is a journalist and new media and currently hosts the MediaShift blog for PBS.


Study abroad gives students chance to see the world

How can a student broaden his or her horizons? The answer is clear; studying abroad is one way students can experience any number of different cultures and places around the world. "Anyone who has traveled abroad grows more than someone who hasn't," said Seema Bhattiprolu, a graduate assistant for International Programs Administration.


EF gives students more opportunities to travel

EF College Break is a travel company that specializes in international trips for college students, ages 18 to 26 only. College campuses across the world have EFCB campus representatives, and Arkansas State University is no different. Elbert and Glenda Carr were honored at a reception held Saturday afternoon at Carr's College Grocery. After 49 and half years of service to the Jonesboro and ASU community, the Carrs have sold their business.


Peazy Week begins today

On April 3, "Peazy Baby" will be performing in Heritage Plaza of the Student Union. The concert is part of "Peazy Week" that Pam Burnett and her friends have put together to bring the students of ASU closer together and to help aid her foundation. "Myself and my peers tend to see the greeks or various organizations here on campus putting together events all the time.

Burns entertains audience with award-winning poetry
The audience sat in rapt attention as Ralph Burns delivered his award-winning poetry to those gathered in the Grand Hall of the Fowler Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Burns was the last speaker in ASU-J's 2007-2008 Lecture-Concert Series. He read several selections, including "I Beg My Feet to Take Me Back Home," "Willow House," "Food for Death," and others.
