Possibilities of new restaurants in the Student Union, adjustments to the Student Government Association's constitution and new senators being sworn in dominated the meeting Tuesday night.
Ryan Beaird, SGA President, announced possibilities of new restaurants opening on the south side of the Student Union, such as Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
The Student Government Association is thinking green and wants to make "Think Green!" a convenient choice for ASU students.
The goals of "Think Green!" include promoting earth-friendly behavior and making such behavior convenient for students, Hillary Colvard, SGA secretary, said.
This year many people will be casting their first presidential vote, including ASU's Dr. Farhad Moeeni, associate professor of computer and information technology.
Moeeni left his home country of Iran to Arizona 30 years ago. After spending 13 years in Arizona pursuing higher education, he accepted a job at ASU.
Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe announced the appointments of 20 Arkansans to various state boards and commissions Thursday, Oct. 2, including the appointment of ASU's Dr. Glen Jones, senior associate vice chancellor for academic affairs and research and executive associate to the chancellor for diversity, to the board of the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority (ASTA).
