The expansion of graduate and international student programs as well as online degree programs has led to a 12 percent increase in spring enrollment. ASUJ reached record enrollment numbers this semester with 12,411 students signing up for classes. Actor Charles Holt, the opening speaker for Black History Month, challenged his audience Tuesday night to question who they are and to explore the unknown.
During his presentation, Holt spoke of his life journey and how he found himself.
Holt recalled growing up in "Late Providence Community," founded in 1868 and established on "family, community and service.

The ASU Biological Sciences Department is offering a 10-day study abroad course titled "Field Experiences in Marine Systems" in Belize May 15-24.
The class will be focusing on "looking at the local habitats, environments, animals and plants," Rich Grippo, the professor of the course, said.

Credit card debt has been crippling many Americans for the past decade.
It's estimated that Americans have $900 billion charged on their credit cards today.

Local Tuesday night, Mayor Harold Perrin recognized the Jonesboro's accomplishments in 2009 and stated his optimism for 2010 in the annual state of the city address. "On behalf of my administration and the dedicated employees of the City of Jonesboro, it gives me great pleasure to report to you that the state of the city is strong and viable, and that we have an optimistic outlook for our future," said Perrin.
