With the spring semester quickly winding down, a new SGA president and vice president are ready to start serving the ASU community with fresh ideas and ambition. Adrian Everett, a junior chemistry major from McGehee, will serve as president of SGA and Kiel Smith, a senior business management major from Forrest City, will be vice president.

Infrastructure fees reserved
Following acquired cuts in state funding early this year, $300,000 of $900,000 worth of infrastructure fees collected for the 2010-2011 or 2011-2012 fiscal years has been put into a reserve fund. The Executive Council, led by Chancellor Robert Potts, decided to move the funds into reserve.

Career fair helps match students with employers
The annual career fair was well received Tuesday and Wednesday in Centennial Hall where students of all majors were welcome to meet with a variety of employers and graduate school personnel. Students wore name tags labeling their majors so that employers could easily spot potential candidates they may have been interested in recruiting.

This Sunday, the clocks for most of the United States will jump forward one hour at 2 a.m. Every year, Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins on the second Sunday in March and reverts back to Standard Time on the first Sunday in November.
