The Jonesboro Fire Department responded to a gas leak on the ASU Campus Thursday night around 8:12.
The fire department responded after a truck ran over a gas meter in front of the Sigma Chi Fraternity house at 904 University Loop East.
Passers-by said that a loud noise was heard and the smell of gas was substantial around the area.
Broadway Linker of the Lambda Chi Fraternity, whose house is next to the Sigma Chi house, said the fraternity was warned by the Jonesboro Fire Department they might want to leave.
Officials for the fire department said there was not an evacuation and that Centerpoint fixed the leak.
