EF College Break is a travel company that specializes in international trips for college students, ages 18 to 26 only. College campuses across the world have EFCB campus representatives, and Arkansas State University is no different.
If you contact ASU's campus representative, Raleigh May, you can receive a discount of $50 on any trip that you book. May has been a campus representative since September 2007. She is a marketing major from Marianna. She sells winter, spring break, and summer trips to London, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Berlin, Prague, Barcelona, Madrid, Thailand, Japan, Greece, Egypt, Ireland, Australia, South Africa and China just to name a few.
"If you find the same deal somewhere else for a better price, EF will match it," May said. One reason you should book with EFCB is that they make international travel worry and hassle-free, affordable and fun; everything a college student looks for in a trip.
Right now EFCB's hot deal, the Crazy 8 Giveaway, is going on during March and April. Every week for eight weeks they draw one new name and each name drawn wins $800. In addition, if your name is not drawn there are other ways to help pay for your trip. EFCB offers auto pay. Auto pay allows you to divide your payments and pay up to 35 days before departure. Without auto pay, you have to pay 99 days prior to departure, and auto pay is interest-free.
Every EFCB trip includes the flights, hotels, breakfasts, an EFCB tour director, and entrances to select attractions. May said, "One of the best things about EF College Break trips is the free time you get." She said that most days you will have a group activity, but when there is nothing planned, you get to explore the city on your own.
Also, with EFCB you have the ability to change your departure date. If you want to stay in Europe longer than your scheduled trip, you can pay a $95 fee and EFCB will schedule you a different departure date, even if it is from a different airport.
Rebecca Brown, a marketing student at the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville, went on an EF trip in 2003. "It was an eye opener. That trip showed me who I was as a person and I for once liked being different," she said.
May will be going on the 'European Road Trip' for 15 days in July. The 'European Road Trip' includes stops in Amsterdam, Munich, Venice, Paris and London.
May also has a Facebook group that you can join to get more information and reminders about EFCB trips. She can be contacted at raleighm22@hotmail.com. You can also go to www.efcollegebreak.com to browse trips and get more trip related information.
