Women's golfer signs letter of intent

Arkansas State head women's golf coach Ginger Brown-Lemm announced Wednesday that Clara Tefteller, a two-time all-state selection at Greene County Tech High School in Paragould has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Red Wolves next season.

"I am thrilled to have Clara join the Lady Red Wolves from just up the road in Paragould," Brown-Lemm said. "She is a competitor and had a very good senior season at Greene County Tech. She is an all-round great young lady with solid academics and a proven golf record . She will be an immediate asset to the program. We are excited to have her join us."

She was the Junior PGA?Tournament of Champions (Owassa, Okla.) runner-up and won the Arkansas state Junior PGA (Cabot) during 2009 as well.

She also claimed the Northeast Region Junior PGA championship during 2009 for the fourth consecutive year.

Also an all-state selection as a junior, Tefteller placed second at the 5A East Conference tournament while leading Greene County Tech to the team championship.

She finished fourth at the Arkansas State Junior PGA last year as well. During 2007-08 as a sophomore, Tefteller led the Lady Eagles to the 5A East Conference title.
